Top 5 Ways to Deal with Stress on Campus

College can be one of the most challenging and exciting parts of your life. There will definitely come a point where you are feeling a teensy bit overwhelmed. Read on to learn 5 great ways to handle stress at school.

1) Get Zen
Take some time away from your worries to just BE. You may never be the type to wake up with the sun to do yoga and that's okay! However, you can definitely be the type to take a few relaxing breaths throughout your day to feel a sense of calm. Inhale for 6 counts and exhale for 8 counts. Do this for 5 minutes each day to release that stress from your body.
2) Run away from your problems!
JK but running or any form of exercise will definitely help to alleviate some of that stress. You are likely paying a fee for that student gym, so you might as well take advantage of it! If you are not one for the shared workout experience, there is always the wonderful option of dancing alone in your room. Go on and dance like no one is watching (except for maybe your kinda weird roommate)!
3) Now Talk It Out (Now talk it out)
Sometimes it's hard to remember that we are not in this college thing alone. You have support from both your KIPP family and campus staff!
