Our KIPPster of the Month is Jocelyn, a KGC '18 Alumna attending Texas A&M - College Station.
Major: Public Health
Favorite College Experience: Being able to attend most of the Aggie football games my first year. The stadium being loud and full of proud Aggies is something that makes A&M so special.
College Challenge: Learning how to be independent. I always had my parents or siblings to help me with any challenge, especially when I was stressed. At times, I felt alone because I didn't have anyone I could really talk to because I knew no one. During my first semester, I began to get out of my comfort zone and began meeting new people that helped me become more social. I began to talk to my professors and tapping into other resources when I needed help. That was a big accomplishment for me because I was always shy and not as independent to the point where I could do things like that.
Goals: Explore the world through travel. After graduation, I want to become a nurse practitioner.
Stress Management Practice: I cope with stress by going out with friends and just getting some fresh air.
Motivational Song/Quote: "It's a slow process, but quitting won't speed it up."
