Our April KIPPster of the Month is Frecia Diaz, a KHHS '18 Alumna attending the University of Houston - Main. Aside from being a KIPP graduate, Frecia works for KIPP as a Development and Events Assistant.
Major: Psychology.
Favorite College Experience: As small as it may seem, creating friendships and bonding over rigorous courses has definitely been my favorite experience. I've met individuals who I now consider some of my closest friends and even though we are in completely different majors we still get to support and encourage one another.
College Challenge: Juggling being a full-time student and a full-time employee. I am not a master with time management but I have definitely gotten better as it is crucial to my academic and professional success. Keeping up with a planner, creating an internal schedule for my online classes, and sticking to a routine has helped in balancing both.
Goals: Become actively involved with the Hispanic Business Student Association.
Stress Management Practice: Hot yoga at least twice a week. It helps me feel better physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Motivational Song/Quote: “Hall of Fame,” by The Script.
